The Humble Pencil is a research project that asks the question, why do we overlook the pencil? Inspired by Alchemy and George Ripley, I created a modern-day scroll that celebrates the magical creation of a pencil (with realistic and fantastical elements). The final scroll was hand-drawn with several pencils.
